Submit an Abstract
Submissions for symposia, oral/poster presentations and Education Day are closed. * All participants must register by July 28, 2017.
For 2017, we encourage submissions related to the broad field of psychiatric genetics and the following topics of particular interest to the Program Committee:
- Cellular and animal models
- DNA and RNA sequencing related to psychiatric disorders and alcohol and substance abuse
- Ethical issues of new technologies
- Functional genomics
- Genetic counseling
- Imaging genetics
- Personalized medicine and pharmacogenomics
SUBMISSION DESCRIPTIONS AND DEADLINES
The following submission types will be accepted:
Symposia Presentation
*DEADLINE EXTENSION: April 26, 2017 (chairs) and May 3, 2017 (participants/speakers)DEADLINE: April 16, 2017 (chairs) and April 26, 2017 (participants/speakers)
A symposium is a 1½ hour session with a maximum of 7 participants. Each submission must include: 1 chair, 1 co-chair, 4 presenters, and 1 formal discussant. The discussant may not be a presenter. The chair and co-chair may be a presenter on the panel. An individual can only participate as chair in a maximum of two (2) symposia.
Education Day Proposals
*DEADLINE EXTENSION: April 26, 2017 (chairs) and May 3, 2017 (participants/speakers)DEADLINE: April 19, 2017 (chairs) and April 26, 2017 (participants/speakers)
The proposals should include a topic, educational objectives, length of session and speakers. Sessions may have a up to 5 participants. Each submission must include one chair. The chair can be a participant which will require an overall abstract and individual participant abstract.
Oral and Poster Presentation
*DEADLINE EXTENSION: Monday, June 19, 2017 at 11:59 PM EDTDEADLINE: June 12, 2107
When submitting, you may choose if you would like your abstract considered for both oral presentation and poster presentation or one of the two options. Oral presentations are 10 minutes in length followed by 5 minutes of discussion.
